Former mayor of New York City and current chairman and CEO of Giuliani Partners, Rudolph W. Giuliani will lead an impressive roster of keynote speakers at this year’s event. On Tuesday, March 23, he will deliver a presentation entitled, “Leadership,” a characteristic for which he is universally known. On Wednesday, March 24, Daniel Goleman, Ph.D, co-chairman of the Consortium for Research on Emotional Intelligence, will present “Emotional Intelligence,” which argues that workplace competencies based on emotional intelligence play a far greater role in star performance than do intellect or technical skill, and that both individuals and companies will benefit from cultivating these capabilities. His most recent book, Primal Leadership - Realizing the Power of Emotional Intelligence, explores the crucial role of emotional intelligence in leadership.
Bill Novelli, executive director and CEO of AARP will deliver the keynote address on Thursday, March 25. Co-founder and former president of Porter Novelli, one of the world’s largest public relations agencies, Novelli is a recognized leader in the international emergence of social marketing, and managed programs in cancer control, diet and nutrition, cardiovascular health, reproductive health, infant survival, pay increases for educators, charitable giving and other programs in the U.S. and the developing world. Jim Loehr, performance psychologist and co-author of The Power of Full Engagement, will also deliver a feature presentation at this year’s convention. Loehr will discuss what he has learned about managing energy for optimal performance through the Full Engagement Model and Corporate Athlete Training System, both developed by Loehr to help his clients reach and sustain optimal performance in the same systematic way that elite athletes do. The system involves mobilizing four key sources of energy: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
